Here is a photo and letter about my gibson ripper for your Ripper bass page.

My first bass was  a Ripper. It was stolen from me when I was a young teen.  I have owned all kinds of basses since then. But I recently got another ripper  (just like my old one) And I fell in love again!  I forgot how versatile the ripper is!  They are a bit heavy but I love everything about rippers.Ie. the look , and sound the feel.   I am a big Gibson fan in general.  If I had to choose just one bass for the rest of my life it would be the Ripper. This is coming from a guy that owns a large collection of basses. This is my last bass I will ever buy. And this one will not get stolen.
